How to Make the Most of Your Trip to Goa: Insider Travel Tips and Tricks

Counting down to my South Goa adventure! 7 days to go! 🏖️🌴

Can’t wait to soak up the sun, explore stunning beaches, and dive into Goan culture. Here’s a little checklist + tips if you’re planning a trip to this paradise too! ⬇️

✨ Travel Tips for Goa ✨

1. Stay South for Relaxed Vibes – South Goa is perfect for a laid-back, scenic escape. It’s much more rural than north Goa, which is a hub for psytrance and ravers from all over the world!

2. Explore the Markets – Don’t miss the local markets for unique souvenirs.

3. Sunscreen & Mosquito Repellent – Absolute musts for Goa’s tropical climate. Try Avon dry oil if you really suffer (I kid you not! Works an absolute treat)

4. Go Local for Food – Try Goan cuisine at local eateries for authentic flavors. Don’t forget your charcoal tablets to keep your tummy settled if you’re prone to upset stomachs abroad.

5. Stay Hydrated – The heat can be intense, so keep water handy at all times! Electrolytes are your friends!

🛂 Travel Checklist (UK to Goa):

1. Visa – Apply for an e-Visa online at least a week in advance. It’s cheaper directly from the Indian government however, third party sites like @ivisa_travel will make your life so much easier!

2. Vaccinations – Check if you need updates on travel vaccines, like Hep A or Typhoid. You’ll need to do this at least 6 weeks before.

3. Currency – Get some Indian Rupees, or use a travel card for cashless convenience. INR is a closed currency however so you may need to exchange cash in India or withdraw from an ATM when you get there.

4. Adapters – India uses Type D plug sockets, so bring an adapter.

5. Travel Insurance – Make sure your policy covers medical, travel delays and repatriation etc (just incase!).

Check all of that off and you’ll be ready for a sun-soaked Indian adventure! 🌅✈️
